Common questions
Do my business-card photos or voice recordings get uploaded?
Your business-card photos are never uploaded. Enki reads the text on your phone and sends only that text. Voice depends on your phone: on iPhone, your voice never leaves the device. On Android, Enki uses a third-party voice-to-text service, so your recorded audio is sent to that service to turn it into text. Enki does not keep the audio afterward, and the voice-to-text service is configured not to keep it either. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Which CRMs does Enki work with?
Pipedrive, HubSpot, Salesforce, and Zoho, with more rolling out. No CRM? Save to a spreadsheet with zero setup.
Does anything save automatically?
No. You review every contact, note, and follow-up before anything is saved.
How do I delete my data?
Open Enki and choose Privacy & account > Delete account. That removes your account and its data from our systems and clears local data from your device.
Working a conference or a big venue
Convention centers and hotel ballrooms have some of the worst Wi-Fi you will ever stand in. Here is how to work one without losing a single person you met.
Finish the Wi-Fi login before you expect anything to upload.
Venue Wi-Fi almost always drops you on a sign-in page first, the one that wants your email and an Accept button. Until you finish that page, your phone shows a full Wi-Fi icon and nothing actually gets out. Open your browser, load any page, complete the sign-in, then come back to Enki.
If the venue network is bad, switch to cellular.
Turn Wi-Fi off in your phone settings and let your carrier carry it. A hall with four thousand people on one access point is usually slower than one bar of cell service.
Your captures are saved on your phone either way.
Capture the person, save the plan, keep moving. Anything Enki cannot upload right then is held on your device and goes up the moment you have a real connection, on the shuttle, in the parking garage, back at the hotel. You do not have to stand still and watch it.
Do not uninstall the app.
That is the one thing that loses them. Deleting the app deletes anything still waiting to upload, and no one can get it back. If Enki is acting up at an event, force-close it and open it again. Uninstall and reinstall later, once your captures have gone up.
